Me. In London. Three weeks ago. Can’t wait to go back and live there. Is it possible to fall in love with a place/city?! Because, I have. Before going I had a long standing love affair with the UK in general, but now after my trips I’m hooked! :) (Taken with instagram)

The fashion industry possesses great talented designers, but no one compares to Elie Saab and his Haute Couture creations every season.
His highly detailed, girlish, and overtly feminine aesthetic truly inspires me. I love creating pretty/beautiful pieces (and generally this is the style i tend to gravitate towards when shopping for myself) so, to me his work is absolutely mouth-watering… for lack of better description. :)
For anyone who ever felt that fashion is silly, and not an art-form, please refer to his work. To call it amazing is an understatement. This truly is wearable art.
Below, a few of my favorites from the Haute Couture shows (2011 and 2012, Spring and Fall respectively).
Enjoy the eye candy! :)

This is a blog, but yet, I am not a writer.
Ask me to write something, and I am reduced into the infinite depths of nothingness. (There… that’s my attempt at being literary.)
My strengths lie in more visual art forms and though a blog’s purpose is more of a writer’s platform (which I will, in my horrific fashion, do as well) I intend to use it as an illustration of my work.
Though I may showcase some of my sketches, photos and paintings here, I’m mostly going to focus on Fashion, things pertaining to the industry and things I design, hence the title Main de Luxe (French, for Handmade Luxury).
My main goal in this “blogging” venture is to express myself, and to share my designs with everyone, all the while branching out and developing my skills further.
If you’re tagging along for the ride, great!
Au Revoir!
